“Researchers found between 69-94 percent of Christian youths forsake their faith after leaving high school. The Barna Group reported 64 percent loss after college graduation. The Assemblies of God conducted a 10-year study and found 75 percent loss of their students within one year of high school graduation, while the Southern Baptists found that number to be even higher at 88 percent loss. And Josh McDowell Ministries reports 94 percent fallout within two years of high school graduation.”

In light of these staggering statistics, our aim is to equip graduating high school seniors for their transition from high school to college. We will be focusing on recovering the Christian mind, renovating the soul, renewing the Spirit’s power, and remaining connected to a community of believers. Our desire is not only to keep the youth from falling away from the faith, but also to challenge them to grow in their passion for God and to be an influence on their campuses.

This event is specifically for the graduating high school seniors so in order for one to attend, one would have to be a graduating high school senior! Sorry to all of the others that wish to come but this is our main focus.

Speakers:

“Steve has an undergraduate degree in communications (emphasis in argumentation and debate) from Biola University. Then, he went on to receive his Master’s degree in Philosophy from Talbot School of Theology. While there, he studied under J.P. Moreland, William Lane Craig, Frank Pastore, and Ken Samples. Steve is also a regular host and panelist for the Apologetics.com Radio Show (99.5 KKLA). In addition, he is a staff apologist for Apologetics.com. In 2007 he spoke at an apologetics conference which included speakers such as JP Moreland and Craig Hazen.”

“Joshua is the evangelist-at-large for Charisma Life Community Church in Pomona, California. He is a frequent speaker and equipper for the body of Christ in the areas of apologetics and the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit. He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Biola University and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Theology from Talbot School of Theology. He currently resides in Buena Park, California and is addicted to cracking jokes, reading books and bboying.”

“Charles, his wife Tina, and their two children, Jonathan and Alexis, currently reside in Southern California. Charles is the lead cultural catalyst and pastor for New Hope South Bay in Torrance and teaches at Life Pacific College. He is also the vice-president and founding member of JustOne, a non-profit organization committed to addressing issues of poverty, orphans, and human trafficking (modern-day slavery). Charles regularly speaks at seminars and conferences on topics such as culture & ministry, leadership, philosophy, theology, and social justice.”
